This Post Has Nothing To Do With Elton John.

Elton John may ask you if you’re ready for love, but I’m more concerned about if you’re ready for a great career and fantastic pay.

There’s a reason why Sir Elton is a composer and lyricist and I’m a coach, I know…

So, are you? Ready?

Now, note that I’m not asking you if you WANT an amazing career and the salary spoils that go with it. Everybody wants those things.

I’m asking you if you’re ready. It’s not the same thing, and more often than not, we’re not ready for a great career and fantastic pay, because deep down we know that these things take a lot of time and commitment.

I get a ton of requests from women who tell me they want to transform their careers. They’re stuck in a dead-end job and want better (and why wouldn’t they?) Some of them have been out of the workforce for a while (the reason doesn’t matter) and want back in – but not starting right back at the bottom, which is where many companies would choose to place those women. Some of the women I speak to are doing well but have the desire to move into something completely different-  a new role, a new sector, or a new industry.

All of these ambitious women ask me for (and I quote) “some tips and tricks” to achieve those wonderful goals that they have.

Here’s what I tell them, time and time again…

There’s no short-cut to career success. There is no quick tip, quick tip or quick-fix strategy that will get you the outcomes you want at the drop of the proverbial hat (and where the HELL did that phrase come from, by the way). I blame the rapidly rising number of so-called coaches who have sprung up over the years for making people believe that this hat-dropping, life-changing, career-exploding transformation is entirely the case within mere hours or days, should their subjects simply click to enrol on the latest ‘mastermind’.

IF IT WAS THAT DAMN EASY, EVERYONE WOULD BE DOING IT.

And do they end up having these transformations in any way? No. Because most people aren’t willing to invest the time and energy needed to do the deep, inner work necessary for true and sustainable transformation.

Sure, if you want a 5% or maybe 10% salary increase, I can most likely help you achieve that relatively swiftly (believe me, I’ve done this enough times). But is that really all you want? Because I’m not ready to walk away from our coaching together if you’re not, lady! What about the hundreds of thousands of pounds/euros/dollars you’re leaving on that table over the course of your career? Why not put the work in and get 30%, 40%, 50%? In fact, at the last check, the average salary raise recorded from the women in my coaching programme was 49.1%. That can be yours – if you’re truly ready for it.

Now don’t get me wrong, it’s fine to settle for good, if you’re absolutely certain you don’t want great.

For true, long-lasting career success and fulfilment, you will need a lot more than some handy tips and tricks learnt during a one-hour “intensive” you found on facebook (which, by the way, translates into the fact you’ll be listening to someone else talk about themselves before pitching you with a paid offer).

You’re smart, though, so I know you want to do this properly, so let me see if I’m hitting the mark for what you really want – and are ready for:

  1. Total clarity on what you want, where you belong, and in which ways you excel
  2. Unshakable self-belief (you WILL be challenged on what you do and what you say)
  3. Tailor-made strategies to navigate and negotiate your own particular situation in your own particular career.

Let me repeat: There are no short-cuts.

The only short journey you need to make at all is to go take your phone off charge. Call me, and I’ll tell you at no cost to yourself if I KNOW I can help you, because if you’re ready for success, then I certainly am.
