League of the Ladies’ Empowering Women Award

Oh team, I’d like to share with you that earlier this week, I received the League of Ladies’ inaugural Empowering Women award at their annual conference at the gorgeous Grand Resort in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland for Women In Negotiation’s work in ensuring greater equality between men and women.

Like I said in accepting this beautiful award from the magnificent Sandra-Stella Triebl: to have been nominated by my WINners, who know me and my work so intimately, and then to have that love confirmed by the influential and inspirational women in that room (thank you Katia Murmann Amirhosseini and Charlotte Parnack!) was a true honour.

Every day, I look for the light in my clients, and I help them bring it out so they can shine as brightly as they are meant to. Because we need more people (especially women) in this world (and especially in business) to use their unique qualities: their empathy, their connection-making, their collaboration, their focus on success for all.

The whole world is better off when that happens.

And then, yes, they need to be recognised for that: with bigger jobs, bigger pay checks, higher fees. So that they can do even more good in this world and this upward spiral continues.

World domination of the idea that women can and should negotiate their worth – that is why I started Women In Negotiation. And to have your support on that journey, to have you acknowledge the importance of that through this beautiful award made by the wonderful Gabriela Brunner… well, I am one grateful monkey.

Thank you to all WINners who nominated me, and all WINners who give me hope in a brighter future every single day, thank you to all conference attendants, the old friends and the new, who made this event such a wonderful experience and thank you from the bottom of my heart to the organisers for making this whirlwind 36h trip to my beloved Switzerland such an incredible time (albeit way too short – I will be back soon, people!).
